This chapter deals with how our words or even thoughts can have a negative impact on our relationships. For every one complaint or negative comment, you need ten positive blessings for each relationship to survive.
Ever been around someone who bad mouths their mate constantly? Or seems unappreciative of them? How toxic is that and are they still together? Do you have a friend that you are constantly complaining about or say things that are negative and critical about? Do you know that those words actually harm you and come back to you?
According to the book a scientific research was done on people who practice gratitude tend to have more rewarding relationships, are closer and more connected and have a more favorable appearance to others. So learning to love one another just as they are and not on how we think that they should be. Wouldn’t that be a great world if we all learned to love and accept one another, without any conditions? The Bridget Jones movie where he said he loved her ” just as you are” is priceless and so true. This lesson teaches us the value of positive love and respect for not only one another but also ourselves.
